Sugar Isn't Making You Fat
Sugar is not making you fat.
Carbs are not making you fat.
Excess calories are making you fat.
Could you be eating overeating sugar based foods? Absolutely.
Could you be overeating carb based foods? Absolutely.
That does not make sugar or carbs the enemy.
The hyper-palatable foods that overwrite your brain's satiety signals are largely to blame.
And also you might just be lazy.
There is a big difference in terms of palatability between a box of fries from McDonalds and a home made baked potato.
In their simplest form they are from the same source- a carbohydrate rich potato.
But the cooking process- with the addition of specific oils and salts creates a hyper-palatable box of fries that you WILL overeat. They are engineered that way. No one on earth can have 2 fries and stop. They stop once the box is empty and there's no more salt to lick.
On the other hand a home made baked potato turns out to just be....a potato.
There are no variables you cannot control, so you can keep it as plain and satiety inducing as possible.
Most of the time you can eat one baked potato and feel full, satisfied and not like a fat piece of shit.
AKA you can feel in control.
Stop looking for simple things to blame.
You're most likely overeating because the foods you choose to eat are designed to be overeaten.
Control the variables to build your success.
