A Better Way To Train Your Shoulders

The muscles on the back of your shoulders are really important to maintain good posture and to have pain-free shoulders.

The problem is that they’re hard to target correctly.

See, the thing is that during a lot of “rear delt” movements your traps will take over.

Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does hinder the goal of training the back of your shoulders.

A lot of our traps are “overactive” because we sit in a hunched position all day, lean into our phones and that makes them very prone to getting over-involved in some exercises.

So a better way to train the back of your shoulders is to manipulate the angle of your upper arm to take your traps out of it.

Here’s how to do it.
